It was an eventful day on Thursday the 10th of November 2022. We had the pleasure of hosting a Women In Energy Network Session at the Energy Sustainability Conference hosted by Energy Institute Nigeria. Following the event was WIEN’s Inaugural Annual General Meeting; a hybrid event (online and physical) that conveyed live participants online from 16 other countries. The Nigerian economy holds potential to accelerate growth and development by 2025 if women are provided the opportunity to play exactly the same role as men in corporate leadership and economic management in the country. The assertion forms one of the key policy proposals emerging from the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Women In Energy Network (WIEN) which was simultaneously hosted on physical and virtual platforms weekend from Lagos.
